Australia’s first international student film festival is coming to Macquarie Park!

Australia’s first international student film festival is coming to Macquarie University next week from November 20 - 24.

The Black Snapper International Film Festival (BSIFF) is run by students for students, aiming to showcase, foster and celebrate the talents of young emerging filmmakers from diverse backgrounds.

From the empowering and challenging, to the funny and off-beat, this film festival will highlight the immense creativity of young storytellers locally, nationally and globally.

Come along for film screenings, creative workshops, panel discussions, masterclasses and more. The festival will wrap-up with an awards ceremony on Friday evening to honour some of the best screen and audio student submissions.

The festival is named with respect to the Wallumi, or Black Snapper Totem of the Wallumattagal people of the Dharug nation, the Traditional Owners of the land Macquarie University stands on.
