Leaders lacing up for Macquarie Park Business Community Walkathon

Hundreds of Macquarie Park employees will set off from the lawns of Johnson & Johnson for a walk with a difference this month - and you're invited to lace up, join the community and get involved!

United Way's 2022 Macquarie Park Business Community Walkathon makes a welcome return at noon on Wednesday 23 November, with participants raising money for early literacy programs in the local area via Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

One of the biggest in-person events to take place in Macquarie Park, United Way CEO Clayton Noble says the walkathon is both fun and unique:

"As well as raising funds for a fantastic cause with a big impact, the Macquarie Park Business Community Walkathon is a great opportunity to demonstrate your corporate leadership, meet with your peers from across Macquarie Park, and get your team out together to really explore this thriving district."

Leading Macquarie Park corporates who have helped organise the event and already registered teams include Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, Johnson & Johnson, Macquarie Telecom, Optus, Orix and TechData.

They’ll be joined by other companies who have registered teams of up to 30 members and contributed $3,000 to the cause, including EDV, Salesforce, Edwards Lifesciences, Terumo and Stockland.

"It's great to see the business community working together, and there's still time for teams to register!" said Noble.

The walkathon follows a flexible course around Macquarie Park, with fun activity stations along the way, ending with a sausage sizzle and live DJ on the lawns of Johnson & Johnson on Waterloo Road.

Connect MPID are proud event sponsors of the walkathon. The Connect MPID team and members of our Board of Directors will be there, so feel free to come down and say g'day.

Registrations are filling fast, so don't delay in registering your team!
