The Macquarie Park Business Community Walkathon is back!

Tomorrow, over 500 local employees will lace-up and take to the streets of Macquarie Park to raise money for childhood literacy in the surrounding community.

The United Way event partners with The Dolly Parton Imagination Library to provide books and early education initiatives to help kids start school ready to read, learn and succeed. Last year, 932 children in Ryde alone received more than 10,000 books in monthly instalments. This year, United Way is aiming to increase this local network to 1000 children.

It’s not too late to rally your colleagues together and build your own team. Get moving to give back to the community and support a great cause at one of Macquarie Park’s biggest in-person events.

It’s also an opportunity to get to know your neighbourhood business district better, network with your Macquarie Park peers over a sausage-sizzle, and have a fun afternoon out with the team.

Plus there’s no fitness requirement, so anyone and everyone can join in - you can walk as little or as far as you like!

You’ll be in good company too, with event partners ORIX, Optus, Macquarie Technology Group, Tech Data and Johnson & Johnson ready and raring with employee teams.

Connect MPID will also be an event sponsor alongside Medtronic, Pitney Bowes, Siemens Healthineers and Stockland. We’re donating a raffle prize too - a team box experience at the newly refurbished IMAX theatre in Sydney city!
