Construction of a mixed use development comprising of 4 buildings with a maximum height of 14 storeys (above basement levels). The development will contain 380 apartments and 3 separate retail tenancy spaces. Two levels of basement car parking containing 424 spaces and ancillary uses are proposed. Vehicular access is proposed via Station Street. The development also includes a publicly accessible central plaza and associated landscaping works.

Construction of three (3) mixed use buildings with a total of 297 apartments as follows:

  • Melbourne Building: Ground floor retail/commercial and 11 levels of residential units above. The building will contain 102 apartments.
  • Hobart Building: Ground floor retail/commercial, community facilities (gym) and 7 levels of residential units above. The building will contain 39 apartments.

The residential flat buildings will extend to 5 storeys for Building A and 3 storeys for Building B. The total number of parking spaces on site will be 165.

Macquarie Centre Redevelopment

Mixed use redevelopment of Macquarie Centre including design parameters for future development on the site. This includes building envelopes for the proposed basement, expanded podium and four towers fronting Herring Road. The towers will range in height from 90m to 120m above existing ground level and will contain mixed use development including commercial premises, residential accommodation and/or tourist & visitor accommodation. The development will also include the creation of "Station Plaza" between the train station & shopping centre, basement & rooftop car parking building envelopes to accommodate a maximum of 2175 additional car spaces and new vehicle & pedestrian access points.

Buildings B and C will be entirely residential. A total of 830 residential apartments are proposed. Three levels of basement containing 869 car parking spaces. Construction of a public park with an area of 2100m2 and associated shared pedestrian/vehicle access way around the park. A 19 storey building comprising of 154 serviced apartments, parking for 110 vehicles, a café on the ground floor, a rooftop restaurant and communal facilities for the use of guests including a function centre, 2 conference rooms, a pool and gym. The development also includes road widening works to Hyundai Drive and landscaping works. VPA: A Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) has been lodged with this application. Under Section 93F of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, developers can contribute works or money to the local community as part of their development. The VPA proposes to dedicate land to Council as public road, construction of the public road and a monetary contribution.
